Is there an app available on Shopify that enables dynamic pricing based on group participation? Specifically, I'm looking for a solution where the discount increases as more people commit to buying a product — for example, a 10% discount for 10 buyers, increasing to 20% for 20 buyers.

To clarify, our plan involves selling high-end furniture, making it impractical to expect a customer to purchase multiple large items like beds. Instead, we aim to incentivize purchases by offering a group-based discount: a 10% discount when 10 customers commit to buying a bed each, with the discount increasing to 20% once 20 customers have made a pledge.

I can foresee the next options:

1. Something like a Kickstarter, but there you know your price/benefit when you pledge. Sooner you do - the smaller payment you make.
2. Do you expect some organized group to come and pledge all together? Again, how does this occur in real life? Are they gathered on some another platform?

Or the idea is that first 1-9 customers come and pay 100, and then when/if the 10th comes - they get 10% refund?
So the idea is that people are actually ready to pay full but motivated to market your offering further to their audiences?

sorry for the late reply~  

it is a good question. I didn't explain thoroughly last time.

It is something like this: 

0. for a certain product, the original price is 1000 dollar. 

1. there is an open-for-pledge period, say 2 weeks.

2. During the 2 week, say 15people pledge and pay 100 dollar deposit.

3. at the end of the 2week, the price is adjusted to 900 to reflect the 10% discount (manually or automatically)

4. people pay the remaining 800 dollar to actually buy the product.

It seems you wouldn't be able to solve it without custom coding. And it seems that the app that solves most of your desired functionality should be related to split-payments logic as it's not easy to implement inside Shopify. So I suppose that custom coding + https://apps.shopify.com/deposits-split-payments could solve everything you expect.
