Adding to channel Online Store automatically

I use Graphql to add products to my store and then apply a sales channel using the Publications api, that works for Shopify Plus shops, once I have aske Shopify to make that api permission available

When I do that for standard shops , the publications permission isn't available (not allowed)

When I add a product using Graphql for standard Shopify, is there a way to have products added to the Online Store channel automatically.  I see spec points to using  PublishablePublish which doesn't for for standard shops. I have seen complaints about this but no real solution.  It could add to all sales channels if that is easier
