Unfortunately, I cannot help you with this issue, but if you are looking for a reliable app for product descriptions, check out the HelpCenter App. Besides being able to set up product description tabs, the app also enables you to create a FAQ page, set up a helpdesk ticketing system and implement a live chat on your store.

Many of the features have are included on a free plan or have a trial period so you could try them out and see the app could be beneficial to you.
