Any apps to automatically update inventory levels from manufacturer's site?

Hi all

We sell lighting from a number of manufacturers. 
Every so often a customer orders an item we don’t currently have in stock and the manufacturer is out of stock as well. We don’t have a huge warehouse so ideally I’m looking for an app that can ping the manufacturers website for each product and update stock levels several times a day. This way even if we don’t physically have it we can still order it in and cuts don’t on the customer disappointment. There are so many products we can’t do this manually. 

Has anyone come across anything like this or am I asking for the Holy Grail?
