Any one has success setting up free trial to subscription using recharge workflow

Hello,

using recharge  checkout and recharge workflow

we want to offer a  free trial product and charge only shipping plus tax on initial product.

after 14 days we want to switch the product to full month supply SKU and also the price.

followed the instructions with recharge workflow but couldn’t make it work. 

wondering if any one had issues with recharge workflow not triggering and have found any workarounds .
