Any reliable blog apps out there besides Pagefly?

Are there any blog apps that work?  Pagefly is a trainwreck.

I am not sure what specific purpose you are trying to achieve with your blog, but here are a few other blog apps that I would recommend for different purposes:

1. DropInBlog

I have not personally used it but I have heard good things about it. From what I see, it lets you move away from Shopify blog and into their blogging platform with more versatile control.

2. Zeno Landing Page Builder

If you are looking for more customizable blog layout without moving entirely into DropInBlog, Zeno Landing Page builder has a $19 plan that supports unlimited Blog posts.

I have not used them for blog posts but I am using them for a client's product page, and it has been working well so far. 

3. Recipe Kit 

This is an app specifically designed for recipe blogs for better formatting and SEO purposes. Highly recommend if you are in the food business / blogging about recipes.

4. Blog Posts Articles Filter PRO

This app lets you add a dropdown tag filters to your blog, so customers can easily discover blog posts based on their interest. This works only on Shopify blog template (ie. doesn't work on Pagefly).
