App proxy is not working after reinstalling app.

Hello community,

I have been developing new app with using app proxy.

my proxy URL is similar to this https://myshopifystore.com/apps/new-proxy-url

At first when I install the app in store URL works perfectly, but when I reinstall the app on same store this URL is getting changed to https://myshopifystore.com/apps/new-proxy-url-1.

I can verify this new URL in About app page in apps.

But I am trying to understand why it's creating new URL instead of old one, store must use old URL.

Can anyone help me with this? I have been looking for this in everywhere in Shopify Community but still no luck.

I am having the same issue now. How did you solve it?

Asking users to manually update the proxy URL? Did you come up with any automated to handle this issue?

I don't see the app proxy url changed when I reinstall the app on my dev stores. I try with 2 stores and both results are the same. Look like the app proxy behavior is changed again
