App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
I'm looking for an app that could group up color swatches on the product page. For example, the product has 3 shades of red, 3 shades of blue, and 3 shades of pink. Rather than showing 9 swatches all at once, I want the customer to be able to select red, blue, or pink and then be shown the 3 color swatches that fall under that color category.
Anyone know of an app that could do that?
Hi @Sensei_Ryan
For your case, I recommend you this app - Product & Variants Options. It provides you with multiple options for your products, such as Textbox, Number field, Checkbox, Dropdown menu, Radio Button, Color Swatches, Image Swatches, File Upload, Date & Time Picker, and Buttons.
Also, it helps you to show/hide options based on specific conditions. In your case, you can create the Dropdown menu option which allows the customers to select red, blue or pink.
This app offers a FREE trial for 14 days to install and try all features until you officially launch your website.
I hope that you find it useful.

Hello @Sensei_Ryan, Have you got the solution? If not, then you can try the MultiVariants - Bulk order app.
You need to create a product in Shopify and under the main product create a Color option such as red, blue and pink and shade options as shade1, shade 2. Now, applying the MultiVariants app all the variants will display under the main product and there will be a quantity selector for each type of item. Your customer can choose their own combination of all variants.
If you don’t want to show all nine shades at a time, then you can show the red, blue, and pink as swatch options. So, when the customers click on any individual color, the responding shades will be displayed.
With this app, you can set the min and max quantity, so your customer must choose that quantity before going to the cart page. Additionally, through this app, you can apply restrictions for minimum-maximum quantities, predefined bundles, interval quantities, limits on variants, and orders that can be achieved.
You’ll get 3 days of the trial along with great customer support for exploring all other features.
Here is the Sample product where the customer must choose shades by clicking on the shade colors and here is the Sample store with more available features.
Hi @Sensei_Ryan,
To achieve the setup you're looking for, I recommend using the free Easify Product Options app. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you get started 🤗:
Begin by creating an option set within the app:
Add an option type that suits your needs, such as Buttons, to allow customers to choose from colors like red, blue, and pink.
Create an option specifically for selecting among 3 shades of red, utilizing Color Swatches and conditional logic. This ensures that the shade option only appears when "Red" is chosen.
In a similar fashion, set up 2 additional options for selecting 3 shades of blue and pink.
Once you've created these custom options, simply select the main products to which you want to add them, and your setup will be complete.
By following these steps, you'll be able to provide your customers with a user-friendly and comprehensive selection process for different shades of colors 🙌.
