AppBridge redirect after recurring application charge missing admin in URL

Following this tutorial, once the merchant accepts the recurring application charge, the url that the merchant is redirected to does not contain "admin" in the path and therefore shows a 404.

I found this: https://github.com/Shopify/shopify-app-bridge/issues/65 but it hasn't been touched in two weeks.

Anyone else able to find a way around this? I have a Shopify imposed deadline of Oct 1 and this is holding up my ability to deploy but AppBridge is a private repo ...
