Looking for a solution of this scenario:
Online furniture store and a brick and mortar showroom.
In our website checkout I would like to have the option for customers to make an appointment instead of immediately purchasing the products that they selected in their shopping cart. But I want our stylist that will have the showroom appointment with them - to know what was in their cart.
E.g. Customer selected dining table X, four dining chair's Y, and couch Z while browsing our online store. Most customers are not ready to make those kind of purchases online, without seeing it in person first. I want the option in checkout for them to make an appointment (instead of following all steps of a regular checkout) and have the shopping cart summary to come as appointment notes when they book an appointment with us - so the stylist at our showroom can have those items and other relavant information ready for the appointment.
E.g.2 I also want customers that do not need an appointment, to checkout there shopping cart as any other online store - by not selecting the 'appointment' option in checkout.
For the full functionality it might need custom coding. But maybe a partial solution is to allow delivery method "in-store pickup" and payment method "cash on delivery"? Then the order will sit in unpaid orders until the customer visits.
