Apps with no reviews

Is it just me, or does installing an app with zero reviews immediately raise a red flag? 

App in question was created in October of 2021 (1 year ago), and the developer only has this one app available. 

Any guidance or tips would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

lol. Just give them a chance if you find some potential value. Especially if there's a free trial

1. Every app has to start somewhere not everything is born with an automatic million users
2. Apps on the app store are vetted and have to work within the platforms TOS.
3. Merchants are not required to make a review of an app they use.
4. Shopify has specific terms around how apps cannot soliciting or incentive reviews from their users https://www.shopify.com/ca/partners/terms 

There are plenty of apps with a massive user base but incredibly shockingly low amount of reviews or none at all. That is an indication the app does exactly what it needs to in a competent way , not some negative.

Low metrics like review-count , or install rate is not an indication of anything by themself in isolation;  especially if the app is serving a niche need or is a one and done app that people take advantage of for a single use then uninstall and forget about.
