Are there any good alternatives to Return Magic for order updates and returns?

Wondering if others are experiencing issues with the sunsetting of Return Magic. I've tried out some of the other MANY apps and none of them integrate well with Shopify - I guess because Return Magic was actually part of Shopify, and regular app developers don't have the same access.

Has anyone found a new returns app that can do things like update the order in Shopify so you can tell in Shopify Analytics and/or the Order Page than an item was returned?  Or write notes to the Shopify Order Timeline so you can see the person was refunded on X day without having to open up an entirely different app?

I'm also feeling concerned our small staff is going to be overwhelmed with trying to keep track of returns when nothing seems very well integrated with Shopify. How are others handling it?

Thanks!

P.S. If you just use the Shopify Returns system available on the backend to process returns, how do you have customers contact you to request returns? Do you use some kind of web form? Or? If we add a gift card app for returning to store credit, the Shopify backend pretty much does what we need it to... except for the part about making it easy for a customer to request a return!

Hey,

You can check this functionality with Return Prime team, maybe they could be a help to you. Few of our merchants are using this app and their life is easy.

Thanks! I am testing Return Prime and it had made it to the finals - I thought it would be the one! But it doesn't update the order in Shopify, and while it is able to restock, the return isn't recorded in Shopify analytics, or anywhere else in Shopify.  It adds a tag "return" to the order (which is something!) but that's it. Everything else, including tying an order in Shopify to the return in Return Prime, has to be done manually. It's just too complicated for the current capacity of the company. I appreciate the suggestion. I do agree Return Prime seems like a quality app, it just doesn't do what we need it to.
