Automatic realtime inventory update to show "sold out" when item sells?

Everything we make and sell is one-of-a-kind, so we will never have more than one of each item available for sale at any time. Therefore, we need the listing page to immediately update to zero-in-stock or soldout when an item is purchased. We are thinking about getting started with the "Starter" plan. Will it do this? Thank you!

You can use applications that help process invoices, they can help you synchronize all data with Shopify realtime, so we can immediately check the status of goods and inventory, you can try it.

My question has to do with using Shopify's starter plan. Does shopify's starter plan immediately update inventory when purchases are made through facebook, or whatever?
