Became a dev partner but when I created a store it somehow grab some other email?

I created a developer account. 
Then click to add a dev store, but it grabbed my business email (i.e. not sure how Shopify found that email address) and I can't edit.
Now when I try to do anything in terminal it won't let me because my dev/cli account is not the same login as dev store.

So I get errors like this in the terminal.

$ shopify populate products  

✗ Command not allowed with current login. Please check your login details with shopify whoami. You may need to request additional permissions for this action.
