Best way to have customers sign-up to request a print catalogue?

We will be running a free print catalogue but want to use a pre-order/pre-sale approach so customers can signup ahead of time, enter their shipping address, and let us know how many copies to print. It will be free this year so payment is not of concern.

However all of the "pre-order" type shopify apps I'm finding are for out of stock products and just don't match up with what I'm looking for. Any suggestions?

Hey Rachel, our pre-order app is designed for running campaigns to gauge new product demand. We might be able to help.

I know you mentioned your catalogue is free this year. Sounds like you just need a form to capture their name, email, and shipping address, for now.

When you start charging payments, you can use our app to capture partial deposit from customers. Capture a commitment to buy (deposit) rather than just an expression of interest (email). This way you'd have more certainty around how many copies to print.

(Alternatively, would you be against charging your customers $1 this year? This way you can use our app to capture customers as an actual order.)

PS. You'd also be able to create separate pre-order campaigns in our app to compare the real-time performance between your catalogues as well.

Thank you! This is good to know. I'll look into the app, sounds like it may be a good fit.

I have considered a $1 fee to start with as you mentioned, so I may still go this route instead of a form to collect addresses.
