App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
Hi there!
I am looking to create an ecommerce site selling products from a manufacturer I am already a reseller for.
Currently, if someone orders a products directly from me I am able to go on the manufacturer's website, place the order and have it shipped directly to my customer.
I am wondering if there is a Shopify app that will automatically send the customer order to the manufacturer.
Or do I need to manually place these order with the manufacturer once I receive them? Trying to streamline the process as best I can so I don't have to keep a bunch of inventory on hand.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated!
Hi, @AndrewGinn.
Welcome to the Shopify Forums! I hope your day is going well.
The ability to automatically send orders to your supplier will depend on your relationship to the supplier, or if they are connected to a dropshipping app.
If your supplier is not connected to a dropshipping app, you can use Custom Fulfillment to send email notification to your supplier that they need to fulfill an order. However, this doesn't pay for the order, thus, you would need to discuss this with your supplier.
The second option is if they are a supplier through one of the dropshipping apps in the Shopify App Store there could be functionality to allow for automatic ordering. Some of the dropshipping apps available include: DSers, CJDropshipping, and Spocket.
