Can anyone recommend a good Point of Sale app for layaway?

We're trying to give the customers in our brick and mortar store an option to put things on layaway. But all the apps I can find seem to only work on the website.  
Is there a good Point of Sale app for layaway?

I was thinking more that they can make payments on things we have on hold. We've had several customers ask for this.

Ah, that would be an interesting use case. I hope the Shopify team picks this feature suggestion up!

The App would also allow the product to be taken out of inventory so that it cannot be sold twice, especially if the item is unique or limited in quanity.
