Can anyone recommend an app for one-time access code entry?

I'm hoping to have a password protected website, but rather than require a login ID and Password to enter, I would allow entry with the use of a one-time access code.  Is anyone familiar with an app that would solve this?

Hi there, @mxracer168 .

I have had a look through our app store and found this app called Simply OTP login which allows your customers to login using One Time Passwords. There is also a list of other options for you to research to see which one best fits your needs. I even found this one that offers OTP for free using Whatsapp!

I trust this helps, thanks for reaching out!

Thank you Ivy.  Simply OTP seems to allow a user to receive a one time password by using their mobile phone, or WhatsApp to request one.  I was hoping for a solution where we might manage a list of unique passwords that could be provided to a user in order to gain access to the site.  I don't want people to be able to request access and receive it.  I want to give out OTPs only to those to whom we want access to be granted and allow them to login using that, and that only.

If the same user wanted to login again, we would have to provide them with a new unique passcode.

We have the same need - did you by any chance find a solution?

Unfortunately not.  We ended up having to develop a solution ourselves.

Interesting - thanks so much for your super fast reply.

Any chance that you can share how you went about this?   Or share code?  (I have no idea if this is possible)

I believe we ended up sacrificing and requiring the user to create an account via Shopify, then used Shopify Workflow Automation to disable access to certain features on the site once the first order had been placed.  It wasn't ideal, but it was a workable solution given the priority of this project (low).  Sorry I can't recall more specifics.  I am no longer involved with the project in question, so I'm afraid I can't be much more help.
