Can deleting and reinstalling Facebook and Instagram apps solve my Shopify connection issue?

Need some help please. My Facebook business account and Instagram accounts that were connected to my Shopify store were hacked back in September 2022. When that happened, they disabled and removed my accounts from those social platforms and I am unable to recover them. They were connected to the shopify along with products where people could shop directly from the linked products and make purchases through shopify. Since then, my FB pixel could not be reconnected to my website and new FB and IG accounts because they are inked to the old hacked ones. I can not access the section that allows me to approve these new FB accounts to connect on shopify. Would I be ok if I deleted the FB and Instagram App on my shopify and then redownloaded it to try to connect to the new FB accounts and my website? It is completely frustrating and has resulted in a lot lower traffic as i had a great bit of traffic and sales come to my store via those facebook linked products. Does anyone have insight on how to do this or if this is possible? I just dont want to mess up my website.

Yes, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling the Facebook and Instagram app on your Shopify store to reconnect them with your new accounts. This is a common troubleshooting step that can often resolve connectivity issues.

 

In the meantime, while you work on reconnecting your accounts, I recommend using Linkpop to drive traffic from Instagram or Facebook to your shop products. Linkpop is a tool that allows you to create a custom landing page with multiple links, making it easier for your followers to access and shop your products directly. This can help maintain a steady flow of traffic and potentially boost your sales while you resolve the connectivity issues.

Hello @Rio , linkpop is working fine. I tried to uninstall and reinstall the FB and IG app and it's not working at all. 😞
