Can I add a messenger component to my Shopify app?

so consider I have developed an app on shopify. can this app, have like a messenger component where the owner of the shop, can name and make conversations and get access to them whenever he want? so the chat would be embedded here inside the application to maximize the user experience rather than having him have an account on the application website to perform this feature?
