Can I use other couriers alongside Royal Mail Click and Drop integration?

I would like to link our Shopify shop up with our Royal Mail Click and Drop account, but we also use other couriers  and I couldn't find in the RM instructions any reference to other couriers or it linking to certain shipping types etc, so I didn't want to integrate it in case all of our orders feed through to RM regardless of what courier the customer has selected. I was hoping somebody else has come across this issue and can advise?

I use C&D, but I have my own system that sits between C&D and Shopify.

From reading the docs about the integration, I think ALL orders (whatever the courier) would be pulled into C&D. C&D actually allows you set parcels as being sent by carriers other than RM, but obviously won't integrate with them.

The company that write C&D for RM now have their own paid for service called Channel Shipper channelshipper.com - TBH it looks rather lightweight. I can't even see a way to do product barcode scanning to ensure pick and pack is done correctly. There are probably better solutions out there.
