Change App's scopes

Hi all,

I could not find what I was looking for. So I am posting for help. 

A shop already installed an App with some scopes such as read_customers. If an App requires additional scopes, is there a way to update the existing scopes with additional ones in a shop that already installed. 

Appreciate if you could help me answer or guide me in the right direction.

I just changed my scopes on the oAuth setup and then the customer was prompted to re-approve the App in their shop. Since that change did not trigger any money questions, most just went with that...

You just changed your scopes, restart server and then any shop that already has your app installed got redirected to the re-auth page?
