Change discount codes to auto combine?

Hello,

I have LOOX and KaChing bundles installed. I offer bundle pricing for my customers on our products which have been successful. I also have many customers creating LOOX referral discounts, however, in order for these LOOX codes to work with my KaChing bundles the code must have PRODUCT COMBINATION marked as Yes.

LOOX codes do not mark this combination by default. This means I need to manually go in and mark PRODUCT every time, but by the time I get to it the customer has already tested the code and does not work.

Is there a shopify app or shopify flow where I can make all discount codes be marked to PRODUCT COMBINATION when they are generated?

I've reached out to LOOX and they currently do not have this feature to automatically set discount codes to combine.

It's pretty frustrating that many apps don't give you the option to set "Combinations" settings when auto-generating discounts. For example, Klaviyo doesn't do this either, which causes tons of confusion.

If you have a developer on your staff, you could probably set up a simple custom app:

• Register a DISCOUNTS_CREATE webhook to listen for when new discounts are created.
• Depending on the discount type, use a mutation like discountBasicCodeUpdate to set the "Combinations" settings to include product discounts.
• Optionally, at application startup: Use the discountNodes() GraphQL query to fetch a list of all the discounts in your store and then update whichever ones lack appropriate "Combinations" settings.

Thank you for the suggestion & I agree it is very frustrating. I've also seen that was a big issue with Klaviyo during my research.

NOTE: For anybody in the future looking for a solution and running into this issue. I was able to resolve my issue with using this shopify app

I had to subscribe to the $9.99/m plan that has the stacking option available. It creates a new discount code field at the cart drawer or cart page that will allow you to stack discount codes regardless of what combination settings are checkmarked or not. This allowed me to offer a bundle discount with KaChing + loox discount on top of that discount (product discount) + shipping code discount/site wide discount (if i wanted). You can set a limit of stackable discounts if needed.

It is a pain to add another subscription to something that should be available for all, but it is what it is for now.

To make your Loox photo/video discount code combinable with other discounts, you can use the same Shopify discount code for all customers.

This code that you would create in Shopify supports advanced limitations, including limiting the discount to selected collections, setting a minimum purchase amount, or making the code combinable with other types of discounts:
