This is Summer from the Social Care team at Shopify. Welcome to Shopify Community!
From what you're describing, it sounds like theCompany nameandAddress line 2 (apartment, unit, etc.)fields on the information page at the checkout are currently set to be required. I understand that not all customers need to fill these out, so these fields can be changed to becomehiddenoroptional. You can follow the steps below to make changes to these checkout fields.
In your Shopify admin, go toSettings > Checkout.
Scroll down to theForm optionssection.
SelectHidden,Optional,orRequiredunderCompany nameandAddress line 2 (apartment, unit, etc.).
Your customers will then be able to go to the next page without having to enter information in the fields irrelevant to them. You can test this by simply adding a product to the cart and going through the first pages of your checkout or bydoing a test order.
Now, let's discuss the contact box. Are you referring to a contact page where customers can reach out to you for any questions or feedback? If so, we have a tutorial on adding oneon this page. If this is different from how you initially attempted to add a contact page, it may help!
If you didn't mean a contact page, feel free to respond to this post and provide further information on this and how you added it. I'll help you look for a solution or a workaround then.
