App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
When I add orders to a store through the rest API, it seems that after I send the invoice to the customer, their pay now button is not working. They get a screen saying that "There was a problem loading this website".
Any idea why this happens and how to solve?
Thanks!
Hello @AndrewStageMe,

Here are some potential solutions if you're experiencing issues with the pay now button not working for customers after creating orders through the Shopify API.
1. Ensure that the order is properly created
Double-check that the order is properly created with all necessary details, including the correct payment method and amount. Verify that the order is in a paid or authorized status before sending the invoice to the customer.
2. Confirm that the payment gateway is properly configured
Make sure that the payment gateway you're using is properly configured in your app and that the API credentials are entered correctly. Check that the payment gateway is enabled for the store and that it supports the payment method you're using.
3. Test the payment gateway integration
Test the payment gateway integration with a test order to confirm that payments are being processed correctly. This can help identify any issues with the payment gateway or the integration with your app.
4. Check for any known issues or outages with the payment gateway or Shopify API
Review the payment gateway and Shopify API documentation and support resources to check for any known issues or outages that may be impacting the pay now button.
5. Contact Shopify Support
If you've checked the above steps and are still experiencing issues, reach out to Shopify Support for further assistance. They can help troubleshoot the issue and provide specific recommendations based on your app and store configuration.
I hope this helps you to resolve the issue
Gina
