App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
Hello. I created and have been using a test store for the past week and all of a sudden I am getting this error: "Checkouts are not currently enabled: Merchant's trial period expired.". Can you check my account: etraincenterdev.myshopify.com
Hi, @nrochford. I'm happy to help with this! To clarify, are you a Shopify Partner using a development store or are you a Shopify merchant with your own online store? Can you also tell me more about what you're testing on the store?
Typically this error happens when a Shopify Partner is testing orders through an active payment gateway on a development store. As outlined in the Partner Program Agreement, Shopify Partners can't test orders using real transactions in development stores. If you are trying to test orders using a development store, this guide has more information on the best way to do this and the limitations that exist. That being said, to continue testing in this case you would need to speak with our Partner Support team here to have your store reviewed. We aren't able to look into your account here over the Shopify Community, but if you reach out to us through that page we would be able to review this with you in more detail.
If you're a Shopify merchant with your own online store, an error like this is usually caused by the subsciption plan you're currently on. We also wouldn't be able to see this here over the Shopify Community, but if you speak with our merchant support team here we can definitely help look into this further. You can also check your plan on your end by going to Settings > Plan in your Shopify admin.
Please let me know if you have any questions!

Thanks for the response. We are testing Webhooks and sending test orders so that the events are triggered in our system. I have sent the partner email.
Hello @nrochford,
Good day! Gina from flareAI app helping Shopify merchants get $6Million+ in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.
It is better if you can contact Shopify support for assistance. They can help you troubleshoot the problem and solve it.
Also, consider creating a new development store. If you were using the test store for development purposes, you can create a new test store by logging in to your Shopify Partner account and creating a new development store.
Gina
Thanks. I did send them a message yesterday. I have the payments set to "(for testing) Bogus Gateway" so don't know why I'm getting this. Don't want to setup a new store as this was working. I'm not testing payments, just orders for items that are free.
