App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
This is not a question but a comment. Please send this to devs as this issue is holding the Collective back from its purpose. Thank you
As a retailer, I import products that currently have discounts on them from the manu. Eventually that price may change. BUT I won't know it. If I don't raise my price, I am in violation of their MAP. The proper workflow is that retailers product page's price should reflect the product page from the manufacturer. This way the manu can change the price accordingly and run discounts and it will reflect into their retailer's product page. This is a must.
I am talking to a large supplier now who is not comfortable having retailers be able to edit the prices and descriptions. So they won't use Collective because of the way it works.
As a supplier, I don't want my retailers to be able to edit my prices or descriptions of my products.
In my last company, I had 20k+ brick and mortar dealers around the USA. As the manu, I controlled all their pricing through my distributer's load data. They were not allowed to change my company's set price. They could raise it, but not lower it.
Thank you for your time.
