App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
Is there an app that you can recommend that will take inventory from two products and combine it into one?
For example if its a Sock that comes in a lot of colors and you can also add a decal to it. I need stock to come from the sock and also from the decal.
Any recommendations are helpful
Thank you.
I would check out some of the Bundle apps on the app store. I know WideBundle is highly regarded, but I'm not 100% sure it will give you the exact result you're looking for. Would the number of sock colors times the number of decals be greater than 99?
Hi @mhmedia
This is Jun from Bundle Kit.
Our app is able to meet your needs as it is primarily a bundle inventory management system so it will also be able to track the SKUs for variants of each product.
The bundle inventory is automatically set based on the available inventories of the bundle item(s), including the inventories of the variants. Proper quantity will also be taken out of the inventory of each bundle that is being purchased.
You can create bundles using our app. We have step-by-step instructions here: https://help.bundlekit.io/creating-a-multi-pack-bundle

Hi
This is a common for our users where they have 1 design but it is on multiple products and once sells they want all linked products to update inventory. You can set options like:
As Shopify doesn't have native bundling solution you would need to use an app to map your inventory SKU components to your bundle. You would need to have each design set up as its own SKU but set it to not available to online store.
Our bundle app has 2 main features that would let you manage the design inventory levels.
1. Inventory Management
Bundleup lets you connect up your bundled product to components and it then updates the inventory based on the component stock level. So when a sock goes to zero the other variant bundles will also update to zero.
2. Order Fulfilment
When you sell one of the bundles the stock level won't reduce automatically. What Bundleup does is update the order post purchase by replacing the order line with the component SKUs as order lines which then reduces stock. This then feeds into point 1 above where it updates all linked products.
We also offer a bulk csv file upload option so it is quicker to map all variants rather than doing them one by one in admin. This is handy when you are dealing with lots of variants and need a quick way of uploading and managing.
If you need help in setting up and testing please get in touch. You can also find our guide here:

Hi @mhmedia,
To address your requirements seamlessly, I recommend utilizing the Easify Product Options app. The concept here is to treat the Decal as a custom option within the Sock product. This way, you can keep both items as separate products while efficiently managing their inventory.
Here's a step-by-step guide to help you set it up 🤗:
Start by installing the app and creating a new option set:
Within the option set, add an option for selecting the Decal. You have the flexibility to choose from various option display types, such as Image Swatches or Dropdown with images. The app offers a wide range of 25 option display types to cater to your needs. To link the decal options to your existing decal products, make use of the "add-on product" feature.
Lastly, select the Sock product where you want to add the aforementioned decal options. With this step, your configuration will be complete.
Give this approach a try, and you'll find it simplifies your inventory management while keeping both the Socks and Decals as distinct products 👍.
Hi Mhmedia,
AI-based bundles provide a comprehensive solution to address the challenges you're currently facing. In this regard, our CartUp AI recommendation app stands out with its advanced capabilities, ensuring a seamless monitoring process for Stock Keeping Units (SKUs) across different versions of each product.
The CartUp AI recommendation app goes beyond conventional inventory management by incorporating artificial intelligence to understand and adapt to individual customer preferences. This means that the bundle configurations not only reflect the available stock but also align with the unique choices and preferences of your customers.

Hi @mhmedia,
This is Camila from Simple Bundles & Kits. It's nice to have you here in the Shopify Community. 🙂
You may consider trying our app which should address the feature. Simple Bundles uses the lowest product inventory quantities to keep the bundle inventory quantity in sync. This means that to prevent overselling, bundle inventory is calculated based on the number of bundles that can be created using the available child product inventory quantities. If you sell any of the items individually, the bundle will recognize the updates in the inventory to discount the stock available. You can learn more about how we handle the inventory here: Automatically update bundle inventory - Simple Bundles Help Center.
I hope this could be a solution for you, and if you have any questions, feel free to contact our support team. We’ll be there for you!
