Re: Connecting One Shopify Store to a Second Instagram Account

Connecting One Shopify Store to a Second Instagram Account

Can someone help me determine the best way to get an XML feed or whatever is needed to connect a second Instagram account to my Shopify store.  We have long standing Instagram account that was started with our original store.  After starting a new store the clientele is probably a younger crowd (but defintely different) , so a second Instagram and Facebook account was created.

I just need to create a new catalog possibly based on an XML feed -- the native Facebook Instagram support of Shopify only allows connecting the Shopify Catalog to ONE facebook/Instagram account.

Hi @RosegateJC ,

To connect a second Instagram account to your Shopify store, you can use a third-party app, here are some options:

  • VIBE Shoppable Instagram Feed: Seamlessly integrate VIBE with your store - connect & create stunning feeds from your own posts.
  • Mintt - Instafeed: Offers a simple and elegant way to add your Instagram feed to your store, with both grid and slider layouts. Ideal for basic needs and showcasing your brand aesthetic.
  • Instafeed ‑ Instagram Feed: Lets you display photos, Reels, and videos from your Instagram feed in various layouts, including grid and slider. Includes a free plan with basic features.

Hope it helps! Christmas is almost here, and I wish you a season filled with joy, laughter, and love. Merry Christmas! 🎄 ❤️

Thanks for taking the time to reach out - these all seem like great options

But as with many of these similar posts - they actualluy answer how to get Instagram on to the Shopify website

However, what I am looking for is a way to connect a second Instagram and have the Shopify store send it's catalog TO Instagram - resulting in Instagram being able to access a "catalog" and thus have "shoppable" posts on Instagram.  The catalog can be accomnplished by a URL to an XML of the Shopify data

It seems that the apps you have mentioned all bring Instagram to Shopify no tthe other way around

Hi,

I don’t know if you still need this, but I hope this may help you. I’ve just connected both my Instagram account to my shopify store. Instagram allows this as long your accounts are managed under the same business manager and the business is verified.

I don’t use XML feed, I chose the meta tag option. Maybe you can try it.

First, I connect both my Instagram account in the same Meta Business Suite account. Make sure this account has “admin” permission to both Instagram accounts.

Then go to Shopify, in the section where you manage Instagram and Facebook, add your second account on the settings, then go back to Meta Business Suite to verify your business domain. I use the option add a meta tag (I copy the meta text then put on Shopify website <head>. In this case, your shop in another account is still hidden.

Once your business domain is verified by Facebook, manage your new shop on Business Suite, choose in the setting if you want to add the products manually or automatically. Then publish. You wait for Facebook reviewing your shop. And you’ll get an email when your shop is live to public.

Now, you can have your shop on both Instagram accounts using only 1 Shopify store and add your product tags on your posts as you wish.🫱🏼‍🫲🏽🥂🎉

I couldn’t find any tutorial for this, but luckily I managed to connect it. I hope this helps you. 😊

idk why I can’t paste links here, nor the screenshot to show the info I found from Instagram. Hope it’s clear enough without any supporting files. 😅

Good luck!
