Create a button on checkout to verify if the user apply to a discount consulting a different service

Hi! I have no experience developing Shopify apps and I have no idea what is the best approach I would have to follow to reach this. Can someone help me? I already installed Shopify cli, but to create a button on the checkout section I have to use a specific component? Someone could guide me?
