Custom App change deployment file for updating app from local to server

Hello, I have recently worked on custom app for checkout extensibility. I was not the first one to work on it as it's had work done by someone else before. While working on it I came to realization that every time I need to deploy app after updating certain files it would require me to have laptop that has developed app file in local, I have to update in it and then run deploy command in it's cmd. I don't have much big experience in developing app and try look way to change it. I didn't find proper way but if any of you have proper way and all the requirement that I will need to watch while add all those file in FileZilla and running cmd through putty.
