I want to install this App but it doesn't work.
after I click the Add app button, show up the message "the page doesn't exist"

I actually install before the app then uninstall then update Theme.

I sent message help center to shopify support Japan but don't reply at all.
May be they are busy....
Dose anyone know why? and how I recover?

I understand that you're having problems installing the Digital Downloads app. I'm happy help troubleshoot.

 

First, which browser are you using? If you aren't already using Google Chrome, then I recommend switching to that browser before trying to install the app. If you don't currently have Google Chrome installed on your device, you can download it here.

If you are already using Google Chrome, I recommend clearing your cache or perhaps trying again in Incognito mode. It also might be worth trying another browser altogether.

 

If you are still experiencing issues, then I recommend trying on a different device altogether. For example, if you are currently using a desktop computer, you can try to install the app using the Shopify app on your mobile device. 

 

I see you've mentioned that you have installed this app before, then you had uninstalled it at one point before updating your theme. Is this correct? Updating your theme should have no impact on whether or not you can install this app, but it might be a good idea to double check if the app is still installed. If you head into the Apps section in your Admin, do you see Digital Downloads listed there? 

 

Please let me know once you've had a chance to follow the above troubleshooting steps. If you are still experiencing the same problem, then feel free to respond to this thread with a screenshot of the error message and I'd be happy to further assist.

Was able to install the app successfully on a test store. Maybe they were down for a bit, but seem to be up now.

Hey Shopify, we're experiencing related issues. We get 504 Gateway time-outs on desktop/mobile, different browsers, different networks, cleared/uncleared caches, and on incognito. It's been impossible the last 45 min to upload or modify any product's digital downloads and we can't access the dashboard either. Help?

How do I get my download button on my digital downloads app to match the theme colors of the rest of my website?

Great question. Looking into the settings for the Digital Downloads app, it doesn't look like there is a built-in setting that allows you to customize the Download Now button. I have checked with our Themes team to see if it's at all possible to edit this button colour using custom code. They have indicated that because this button is located within your store's online checkout, where the code cannot be edited, it is currently not possible to customize this button. 

That being said, it does look like the ability to customize the Download Now button is a common request from merchants like yourself, and I can definitely see how it's important to have this button match your brand. We actually have a system in place for delivering feedback and feature requests to our developers, so I'd be happy to add your request to the ballot! Feedback like this helps us to continuously improve the Shopify platform.

Did you ever have an update on this? I still do not have the possibility to change the colour and it is really annoying. It should be a simple fix!

Thanks for joining the conversation and sharing your feedback. I definitely appreciate the need to edit the Digital Downloads button in your checkout so that it matches your brand. 

However, because the online checkout cannot be edited, I'm afraid this still isn't possible. I am hoping that the Digital Downloads app itself can present an option to customize this button and I've passed on previous feedback to our developers. Hopefully, they'll be able to introduce this feature in a future update.

I'll be submitting your request as well; the more feedback we get, the better. In the meantime, please keep an eye on our Changelog for updates.

Hi Julie and Shopify team. 

Every time I go to "add digital attachment" under one of my products, it brings me to a page with a list of my current digital attachments but doesn't allow me to upload a new attachment. 

Please help with this ASAP. I'd love to hop on a call, as I need this figured out in the next couple hours before my product launch. Thanks!

Omg so I was dealing with the same issue and I figured it out… (the issue where it sent you to the list of all your digital products instead of the upload page). You need to have cross website tracking enabled to make it work. I turned it on and now it works again. This works in the app, i haven’t got it working in safari and chrome yet, but at least one of the, works now!

This Digital Download App is totally USELESS because there are no most important features for Digital Products like;

>>>> If you have set the Download Limit to 2 or 3 and customer has downloaded the product 3 times and asking to reset the download again, there is No RESET the Download limit on Customer Order Page

>>>> There is no PDF Stamping features like most of the platform have and it is most important and mandatory feature must have nowadays (There reason behind the customer who downloaded the Digital Product, his/her Order ID, Name, Email and Date printed on top of the every page of PDF or eBook file so that he/she don't share to the other

>>>> There is no Expiry Time set for Digital Download - This is also another important and mandatory feature must have so that after expiry time, the customer can not download the Upgraded version of file if owner has uploaded the Upgraded version of file

 

Shopify is well known platform worldwide but really surprised that they have not buildup the app or integrated the digital download features in-built with the store... means user should not have to depend on other APPs for Digital Products.... Unbelievable!!!  Sorry but I am not going to build my store for Digital Downloads anymore !!!
