Do Shopify stores have the ability to pay in installments

Do Shopify stores have the ability to pay in installments (50% upon purchase and 50% upon order receipt) / or do I need to use WordPress to build something similar?

Great question! At the moment, paying in installments is not a native feature of the Shopify platform. In 2021, Shop Pay Installments will only be available to U.S. merchants eligible for Shopify Payments. By joining the waitlist, you agree to receive marketing and product update emails from Shopify. You can join the waitlist here. 

In the meantime, there are some third-party app integrations that will help you with this. I'd recommend checking out some of these options: 

• LAYBUY 
• Apruve, which is better suited to B2B transactions 
• DeferPay
• Installment Recurring Payments 
• Afterpay Install (Unofficial)

Hello! Our store uses Sezzle, a 3rd party provider similar to afterpay. Google how to get it set up. There are a few steps and there’s some light copy pasting of code involved. Sezzle’s customer support has been good so far. Had them modify so that only one of my products has the ability to pay in installments. Costs ROUGHLY 6% for us at least. Affirm is also an option as a 3rd party provider.
