App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
I'm just getting started and I found some products with DSers and added them to my store If I don't edit the prices on my store does that mean I won't have any profit or does the app automatically set my retail price higher than my cost for me?
Hey there, @sk279! Welcome to Shopify!
Nice to meet you! Great question here about product pricing. You are absolutely going to want to edit the product price once you have it added to your store. Most dropshipping services will add the product to your store with a price similar to what you pay cost wise - it's up to you as the merchant to make sure you have your prices set appropriately to ensure you're making a profit off of your products. You can do this by logging into your admin, clicking 'Products' on the left hand menu, and clicking into your products that appear. Then, you can scroll down the page and find the 'price' box - where you should be able to edit the price of the product.
If you have products that have variants, you'll have to click into each variant and edit the pricing through there. You can also use the Bulk Editor to edit prices, but if you don't have many products currently, you can handle it going one at a time.
Since you mentioned you're new, I wanted to pass along a few resources for you that I know you'll find helpful:
