Does Shopify offer a default invoice option for customer orders?

Can shopify provide any default invoice option, if customer placed on order via my website. Or we have to downloads apps for the same?

Cal here from Shopify, thanks for reaching out to us. Shopify sends an automatic Order Confirmation to customers when they purchase from a store. This order confirmation is customizable by our merchants. 

If you're looking to generate an invoice for the customer to pay, you could create a draft order, which will prompt the customer for payment. 

When you mention invoices, can you give me a better idea of what you are looking for, the scenarios involved, and what your current workflow is lacking?

Thanks for your quick reply. Actually we want whenever a customer place any order, he will get billing invoice like in amazon/flipkart auto generated invoice customers get there. Is there any by default option in shopify which we can customize or app is the only option for invoice generation.

Interesting, so to clarify you're looking to not take payment during the checkout process, and instead have an invoice generated which will be sent to them upon completion of the checkout? I'm not sure bypassing the checkout like this is possible. 

If I'm incorrect with the above scenario, please do elaborate on the ideal scenario for your customer, from visiting your store to processing payment. Thanks!

Actually right now, whenever customer placed any order they got order confirmation mail. We want like order confirmation they directly get order invoice (Billing details).
