Hello,
We are looking for a way to list items that are needed for a charity organisation on our site as part of helping with donations.
eg, the organisation needs toilet paper, the toilet paper shows up as a product you can add to your cart as a representation of the amount you wish to donate.
How can we do this in a way that won't affect our accounting?
Thanks
You just set it up as a normal product, but make it a "Digital Product or Service" (doesn't require shipping fufillment or info) then upload the desired picture. Either way it should have no effect on your accounting VS selling actual products beyond which taxes are applicable. Just don't want to be displaying shipping if there is none.
As a side note:
Would recommend changing the products page title from "Products" to "Donations" or something similar, as well as changing the ATC button text to read "Donate Now"
We actually do something similar to allow customers to "tip" our team, so it is certainly possible. Good luck!
Hi @LilyUH,
I have a solution that might work well for you using the Easify Product Options app 🤗.
With this app, you can easily create and display donation options as product options with associated prices, representing the amount customers wish to donate. When a donation option is selected, customers can proceed to checkout by paying the corresponding amount related to their choice.
Here's a quick demonstration on how to use the app:

The app is user-friendly, and I believe it will suit your needs. Give it a try! Let me know if you have any questions or need further assistance 😊!
Hi,
Is there a way to display the products on their own page? Rather than as an add-on at check out. We would like them to be added to cart as if they were products from a separate web page.
Thanks
Hi @LilyUH,
The solution I suggested allows customers to select products to donate on the Charity event's Product Page. They can add their selections to the cart and proceed to checkout as usual:
To display donated items both separately on product pages and as options on the Charity event page:
If you have any questions, just let me know. Trying the app will help you better understand the process 😊.
Yes, that would be the first step if you wanted to add to cart page. Since you do not, you will just create a product for whatever item it is, with the desired price. You can change the add to cart button to "Donate Now" or whatever you'd like. Customer checks out as they normally would.
Probably would want to set it to "Digital Product/Service" so they are only charged for the donation, or make sure it is free shipping since nothing is actually shipped.
So, you just create a product of whatever the donation item is, as a digital service by unchecking this box, and you should be all set. Good luck!
