Embedded custom app "window.print ()" no longer works

After updating 7.1.1 of Shopify Point of Sale (POS), the Javascript "window.print ()" that displays the print dialog of the embedded custom app no longer works.
Did the above script not work due to security issues? Other javascript is working fine.
