Facebook Sales Channel with Storefront API / Custom Storefront

Hi All

I have a question regarding the Facebook Sales Channel.

My shop doesn't use the 'in-built' Shopify Store but the Storefront API (Custom App/PWA) to have a custom built shop on a external host. The domain the external shop uses is verified in the Shopify Backend.

I'd like to use the Facebook Sales Channel App to connect to my Instagram Account and activate the shopping feature. The goal is that the products are published on Instagram and when a customer clicks on 'View on Website' they won't go to the nonexisting Shopify Store but rather to my Site which has all the products from the Storefront API. 

The question I'm asking myself before I proceed and finish the configuration is, since I'm not using a Frontend which was built with Shopify, will the products contain the correct link to the product?

When creating a new product you can select the Sales Channel in the upper right corner - the products are only allowed to be displayed on my Storefront API channel (not the online store)

I didn't find any documentation on how to solve this but maybe there isn't anything to solve and it will work out of the box.
