Fractional Quantities

Hi everyone!

I have a store that sells high end fabrics and we want to have the ability to sell our fabrics in 0.1 metre sections (up to 10 meters). Shopify itself does not seem to have that functionality built in so I am wondering if anyone has found an app that works well for this?

Best solution would be to keep your minimum Fractional as variants.

We have achieved similar things with multiple stores.

@ashukasma Thanks! How do you have the horizontal quantity selector (the box with the "+" and "-" buttons) rather than a long dropdown list? Is this done with an app or a specific theme?

@ashukasma this is awesome! My only question is with inventory management. Does it not get confusing tracking your inventory with so many variations? For example when you add a new product you have to add all the quantities in the boxes manually? 

If I have 1 metre of fabric I would add:

0.1 x qty 10

0.2 x qty 9

0.3 x qty 8

And so on...leading to lots of manual work. Is this correct?

@LandonGartner yes, its going to lot of manual work, but this is the only solution in shopify, I think people is quite friendly with this solution.
