Free app that hides sold out variants in Debut?

Does anyone have a go-to app that works to hide sold out product variants (the text in the drop down and their images) in the Debut theme?

We're just realizing our old code snippet doesn't work anymore, and it sounds like the only way to do this now is with an app. I downloaded wipeout and it didn't work and obviously we'd prefer to stick with a free one if that's possible. 

Any one else doing this already?Thanks!

I came across an app called Wipeout - Hide Sold out Products that I think will suit your needs. Best of all, they offer a free plan for stores with under 3000 products. The app has a variety of features such as automatically hide sold-out products and also automatically publish products when they are back in stock.

This hides sold out PRODUCTS but not Variants.
