We are looking for an app the allows our customers to pick a date for their order to SHIP out on, not a delivery date. Our customers are already accustomed to being able to tell us when they want it to leave the shop and we do not want to change it to "delivery" date because we do not hand deliver our orders. Small parcel does (USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL, etc) and as most people probably know on a professional and/or a personal level, you cannot 100% confirm those dates. Hence a SHIP out date versus a delivery date. Does anyone know of any apps that have ship out dates? NOT delivery dates.
Hopeful for a solution,
Angie
Hi Angie,
I'm not sure which features the existing "pick a delivery date" apps offer, but presumably you wouldn't specifically need an app that allows the user to select a ship out date if these delivery date picker apps allow you to customise the customer-facing text the app outputs - couldn't you simply change the text which invites them to enter a delivery date, to invite them to enter a ship out date instead. The idea being that the app just accepts a user-provided date. How you label what that date is, is hopefully a feature of these existing apps.
We have an app which calculates shipping and delivery times for all of your shipping options and displays this to customers. Messaging can be customised to display the ship out date instead of a delivery date, but it sounds like you need the user to provide an actual date of their own, in which case perhaps Order Deadline 2 is not the app you need to solve your current requirement.
In any case, I would advise you look into the existing delivery date picker apps to see if the customer-facing wording can be adjusted. If so, simply swap out the word "delivery" with "shipping" and I imagine you'll be all set.
Thanks
Mat
We had been in communications with an app and they expressed that they could change the verbiage for us. But since they were also in the process of updating their app, it took several weeks of back and forth before getting/ seeing results. They have finished updating, customized the verbiage specifically for us and have installed it onto our site.
