Gift Box Website questions - variants, inventory and greeting card options

I'm trying to create a gift box account similar in its function to this.

My boxes will have a few set products and a few products with variants.

• Question 1: How do I sync my inventory with the optional products in my boxes? Shopify's built-in variant systems seems too complicated (it generated too many total variants without keeping track of each SKU for individual products). Is there a decent app for this?
• I also love how the website I linked to displays its gift card options above 'Add To Cart'. Does anyone know how to do this?

Sku sync is the overall term your searching for with apps, automation apps like usemechanic can do this ; some also use third party lowcode services like zapier,integromat,etc

There are also bundling, or product personalization/option apps that may fit.

That's kinda a option swatch behavior so instead of a "color" variant-option showing red, blue, green it's "giftcards" with a line item property text input.

Some themes have swatch behavior check your theme settings, or docs. Though even then in those themes the swatches tend to be smaller ~48px by ~48px size or smaller.

Otherwise it's an advanced customization to integrate into a theme

An alternative is making the variant images linked to options so the main image area is where the gift card imagery show.
