Guidance for Order Status Page (Thank You) Customisation Due to Upcoming Script Tag Deprecation

Hello,

I am currently using a script tag for customizing the Order Status page (Thank You page) in my Shopify app. As mentioned in the documentation https://shopify.dev/docs/apps/build/online-store/script-tag-legacy, script tags will be deprecated by August 2025.

With the ongoing deprecation of additional scripts, I am facing issues where the customisation of the Order Status page is no longer functioning as expected.

Could you please help me understand this transition? I would appreciate any guidance on how to achieve Order Status page customisation moving forward.

Hey!
It looks like Order Status customizations are being moved over to applications using Checkout and Customer Accounts extensibility. This means all customizations will be done through apps, either custom made by your or partner apps. Heres a link for more info https://shopify.dev/docs/apps/build/checkout/thank-you-order-status

I also have made and application that supports Order Status customizations if you wanted to get an idea of what that looks like using an app. Its called Checkout Plus https://apps.shopify.com/checkoutplus
