Hi

I followed these steps from another thread:

  • You have a Shopify online store that is not password-protected.
  • You must be on the Basic Shopify plan or higher.
  • You must have a  Facebook Business page.
  • You must have Facebook Business Manager connected to your business’s Facebook page.
  • You must have an ad account in your Business Manager.
  • You must have Administrator permissions.

I am having problems with the connection of my business page. The error Shopify is showing me is this: it says that due to the checkout method there can't be a connection to my account. I am quite confused because I checked on every bullet point mentioned before. Youtube tutorials are telling me I need x Follower to be able to do this but I Don't believe this. I just want to create a meta pixel so that the products automatically appear in my

Hello @zishomebase,

I'm Gina - Product Manager at flareAI. flareAI has helped Shopify stores generating $5 million in sales from Google Search, on autopilot.

I would like to share a few suggestions while going through your question.

Try disconnecting your Instagram account from the Facebook account and it worked. To do this, go to Instagram from your phone and turn your account from business to personal.

Once you disconnect Instagram, go back to Shopify and try to connect Facebook to the store again.

If this doesn't work, there are a few steps you can try:

1. Check your store's country settings: Make sure that your Shopify store is set up in a country that supports checkout on Facebook and Instagram.

2. Verify your Facebook account: Ensure that your Facebook account is verified, as it may not be eligible for checkout if it is not.

3. Connect a different Facebook account: If your current Facebook account is not eligible for checkout, try connecting a different Facebook account that is set up in a supported country.

4. Use a different checkout method: If you are unable to connect a Facebook account that is eligible for checkout, consider using a different checkout method, such as Shopify's built-in checkout or a third-party checkout service.

5. Contact Shopify support: If you continue to have trouble, you can contact Shopify support for further assistance.

Hi Gina,

thank you for your fast response. I disconnected my Facebook Account from my Instagram. Created a new business page and now everything is connected. The only challenge I am having right now is that I was already posting on another Facebook page for weeks now. There is still no availability to click the "connect" button for my old Facebook page. Regarding your 4. point you are talking about check out methods. I am using Shopify payments as a checkout method. This is why I am confused that there is this error message popping up saying "wrong checkout method".. I have never switched anything. I would like to use my old Facebook business page but as I mentioned before there is no option to click and select this account due to the check out method problem. Any solving ideas?
