App reviews, troubleshooting, and recommendations
I'm trying to find an app which actually works and is logical to use and not unnecessarily overly complicated to use.
I've wasted many hours on several apps now which are quite frankly awful to use and how the devs are charging money for them is beyond me.
Currently trying to get Elist Ebay Integration working but it seems like it's another unfinished app, although it seems to have the foundations for a really good app, at the moment every step requires a dev to fix something which is frustrating for an app which has been on the app store for 18 months now.
Anyone got any recommendations for something comprehensive and intuitive to use which doesn't cost an extortionate amount of money every month?
Hi
We have the same problem. Are you in the UK? Our main problem is that we haven't been able to find an app that handles VAT correctly. We've tried all of the main ones to no avail. Have you found anything yet?
Thankfully, I'm not VAT reg yet.
Currently trying CED Commerce Integration for eBay, of all the apps I've tried this one seems to be the best of a bad bunch, such a long-winded way of sending products to eBay ... almost one at a time. It does have a VAT input in the setting so may be worth a look?
Hi
Thanks for this. We tried CED but they couldn't handle the VAT and it took a while for the orders to come through which is no good for multichannel listing. They also cancel orders if cancelled in Shopify, which is no good if you use an order merger to combine orders to the same address - although they can turn that off, provided you know before it's too late. They are also ridiculously expensive.
The closest we have got is Codisto. They almost fixed the VAT problem, but then had a problem with the interface randomly changing the VAT rates on their own. Their listing interface was useless because it it didn't pull in item specifics, but was easy enough to list on eBay and then link to their system.
Codisto way too expensive, Inkfrog is rubbish, CED is way too long winded and not very good with bad support.
At the end of the day Shopify have shafted us, again.
You are not kidding. Someone shafted us for sure! I don't know who managed the app, if it was eBay or shopify, but the app actually worked great despite the horrid reviews. I found the thing simple to use, even with its bugs. I am trying inkfrog now...ugh...it is as you said rubbish....I am just trying to make it work.
At the end of the day, I am thinking would it be easier to find another eCommerce platform than trying to find an app....lol
Hi
The eBay app was owned and operated by eBay with support from Shopify, but I believe it got to a point where they both had different agendas and it wasn't worth eBay's while continuing with it so they chose to withdraw it. It's a shame as I'd have been happy to pay a top up subscription for an app provided by them that worked.
At the moment we're back to Codisto but only using it for order management as the listing side is a bit of a nightmare.
