When setting up the Royal Mail Shipping Calculator app
for Shopify faced difficulties. I will be very glad if you can explain it to me. I don’t understand why the options in the screenshots are needed and how to understand how to configure them.

hi @Valeria_16 you can set the options that are displayed in the screenshots as:

  • Parcel Options: you need to select which service you require to ship parcels within the UK (Domestic), Outside of the UK (International), and if you require any Parcelforce Services
  • Letter Options: similarly, if you ship products that can be packed and shipped within envelopes, you would require letter options instead of the parcel options above.

You have to select these options based on your preferences for shipping products. I have attached the links to Royal Mail and Parcelforce websites for you to refer to their services and choose one for your shipping needs.

 

Regarding the options in the second screenshot, it shows the Handling Fee, which is not mandatory to add. You need to add it in case you want to charge your customers a handling fee of say $10, so you need to select the Fixed option and set the value to 10. Again, this is optional and purely based on your requirements.
