How can I add multiple accessory options per product in my camera store?

Our store sells cameras and we are looking for a solution to add many add-on options per product.  For example on the product page for a camera, the accessories would be listed in categories like lenses, memory cards, cases, cables.... and each of these could up to 10 products.

Is there such an App or do I need to have it developed?

"complementary products" seems like a good option to use however I cant find any page builders that support complementary products or themes that display more that 2 products.

I'm curious about the purpose behind creating separate add-on products for the accessories. Are they intended to be selected as components of the camera only, or do you also want to sell the accessories independently?

If it's the first case, I have a better suggestion. Instead of creating additional products, you can create them as custom options for customers to select when purchasing the camera.

For example, on your camera page, customers can choose lenses, memory cards, cases, cables, and more.

Since this requires multiple options, you cannot set it up using Shopify's default features, which allow only 3 options. Instead, you should use a third-party app like Easify Product Options, which allows you to create an option set with various options and then add it to your relevant products.

Here's a quick demonstration of how you can use the app to set up your case:

Additionally, we have already set up a demo for a Gaming PC, where buyers can select each part they want. This case is even more complex than yours, but it can be easily managed with the Easify Product Options app.

Thank you for your response. I have looked at your product and it’s not a suitable fit for our requirements.

As an example if you purchase a Sony PXW-Z150 Camera you would see something like below. Every tab on the left has 8 top choices. Every accessory is a stock item and can also be purchased individually. Customers trust that accessories listed here have been tested with that exact camera and are 100% compatible.

You're absolutely right. If you have a large number of stock items, the solution I previously suggested may not be suitable. However, I have a better suggestion for you 👌.

First, instead of using generic option values, I recommend attaching each option value to a specific item in your store. This way, the options will be directly associated with the available products.

Secondly, since you have numerous items per product option, a regular dropdown may not be the most practical choice. Here is an alternative approach: on the product page, you can still display a dropdown for selecting an option. However, when customers click on the dropdown, a popup window will appear, listing the relevant options that are stock items. This popup can include important product information such as the name, price, and a link to view more details in a new tab. Customers can then select their desired option or product from the popup.

To provide a reference, I found a website that utilizes a similar method for handling custom options. On this site, users can build custom PCs with around 30 options. For options with numerous items, each having specific product pages, they display a popup listing the relevant products.

After selecting a product from the popup, the chosen item is automatically updated in the dropdown. Customers can easily continue selecting other custom options without navigating through multiple pages, ensuring a smooth shopping experience.

I believe implementing a similar approach on your website would greatly enhance the user experience. Although this feature is not currently supported by our app, we are actively developing it and plan to release it within the next few weeks.
