How can I add rules to gift cards on Shopify Plus?

Hi everyone,

Adding rules to Gift Cards doesn't seem to be possible from Shopify Admin (I have Shopify Plus). We have a company policy according to which customers cannot use gift cards on products that are on sale (don't ask..). Do you know if there is any way to do this in Shopify Plus OR if there is an app that can create rules for Gift Cards?

Unfortunately, it is not possible to add rules to Gift Cards from Shopify Admin, including Shopify Plus. However, there are a few Shopify apps that offer the ability to add rules to Gift Cards.

One such app is Gift Card Pro, which allows you to set restrictions such as minimum purchase amount, maximum purchase amount, product or collection exclusions, and more. You can also set different rules for different gift cards.

Another app is Gift Cards & Loyalty Program, which allows you to add restrictions such as minimum and maximum amounts, product exclusions, and more. You can also create custom rules for different gift cards.

These apps are great for helping you to enforce your company policy and ensure that customers are not able to use gift cards to purchase items that are on sale.

Hello, are you sure that those apps can handle such functionality? I have checked both of them and I see no such functionality there. I have also contacted the support of the second app and they confirmed that it is not possible with their app (now called Rise.ai: Gift Cards & Loyalty).
