How can I apply a color choice to all items in a custom order?

Are there any apps that I can use to create a 'build-a-box' type store and apply a color or finish to all items in the box?

For example: you select the different components of the configurable sofa that you want (chaise lounge + love seat, chaise lounge + single) and add them to your order individually, then select color.

My customers will never build an order with different color items and I don't want them to have to select the color when at each product.
