How can I enable the Storefront API option in a public app?

Hello,

I built a custom app on Shopify using their API to handle theme files, and it's been working smoothly. However, when I tried the same code for a public app, the Shopify API wasn't cooperating. Any chance you could give me a hand with this?

When I enabled the Storefront API option in the custom app then my app worked fine but in the public app this option does not appear so please help.
